Brady’s family said that the moment Brady received the packet in the mail, they knew Make-A-Wish would have a lasting impact on his life.
“His wish granters came over and they truly wanted to know what was in his heart,” Brady’s parents said. “They told him to dream big with no limitations. They opened the door to a world that we didn’t think was possible for him.”
With the help of his wish granters, Brady decided to go to Hawaii. He and his family waited excitedly, spending treatment and medical testing time talking and about the upcoming trip. After weeks of anticipation, Brady and his family left for the island.
During his wish, Brady attended a luau on the beach, saw deep sea animals in a submarine and swam and played with dolphins.
“As wonderful as the activities and adventures were, the thing we will never forget and will always cherish are the feelings,” said Brady’s family. “The whole week, we saw a different kid. We still had a son that had to do his medication and therapy treatments during his trip, but he did it with the most complete joy you could imagine… It has changed him for life.”
