“Sadie has been an amazing asset to the Cedar Valley Area and Make-A-Wish Iowa as a whole. She has always offered to help and support the committee as much as she possibly can and has gone out of her way to spread the mission of Make-A-Wish,” reports fellow volunteers.
In the last year, Foertsch-Greenwald offered her office at Sprint as the new meeting space for the Cedar Valley Committee meetings. This move improved the mood and productivity of the meetings to be more time efficient for everyone.
“Sadie got married in the past year, yet, still attended almost every committee meeting, while also stepping up to take on the role as the advisor of the UNI Wishmakers on Campus®,” her nomination read. “The success of the UNI Wishmakers and the Cedar Valley Committee is in large part because of Sadie’s bright laugh and smile, passion for Make-A-Wish and business mindset.”
“Sadie is a huge part of the accomplishments seen from our Cedar Valley committee,” said Chris Voggesser, CEO of Make-A-Wish Iowa. “She enthusiastically gives of her time and talents to make a tangible difference in the lives of local wish kids.”
Make-A-Wish Iowa granted 153 wishes in their last fiscal year and anticipate granting 185 in our current year – that’s about a wish every other day.
