The Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation located in Lake Forest, Illinois, has donated $5,000 to Make-A-Wish Iowa in support of its mission to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
“This donation will be used to help us grant wishes to children in Iowa living with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Jamie Rasko, Manager of Communications at Make-A-Wish Iowa. “We support these children and their families while they are going through a very difficult time and, through the wish, offer them hope, strength, and joy. We are grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its generosity.”
Make-A-Wish Iowa has granted more than 3,000 wishes since it started and is currently granting a wish about every other day in the state.
This donation was recommended by Tim Cuvelier, Director of National Contact Centers, of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s, Waterloo location. Grainger has been a part of the Cedar Valley business community for more than 20 years as the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products. “We are proud to recommend the programs offered by Make-A-Wish Iowa,” said Cuvelier. “We understand the organization’s desire to grant childhood wishes and support the whole family with enduring memories.”
