The sophomore at Mason City High School will be surprised with her wish to go to Australia and see the Great Barrier Reef at the school’s December 18th assembly, which will focus on giving back to the community.
Carla Miller, Make-A-Wish volunteer, will be the on-site contact for this event.
What: Wish child Katheelyn Montes (15, Mason City) asked to go to Australia to tour the Great Barrier Reef. Katheelyn qualifies for a wish through Make-A-Wish because of her chronic renal condition. She is learning at a school assembly on Friday that her wish is approved.
