We are so grateful to Make-A-Wish for coordinating an amazing experience that we will not be able to repeat. Isabella was able to meet many of her favorite princesses, including being transformed into Snow White at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (that was priceless). We went to Sea World and were able to see the Whale Show, which brought so much laughter and joy. We also were able to go to Islands of Adventure and MGM, just amazing experiences all around.
Isabella thoroughly enjoyed her time with Merida learning how to shoot a bow and going under the sea with the Ariel ride. We also got to spend some time with Ariel, which was awesome. Isabella not only got her autograph, but also signed something for Ariel to take home with her. Isabella participated in a show with Belle and enjoyed playing the part of the plate. These are just some examples of our amazing experiences. Even Rosalie, our service dog, got to ride on the magic carpet ride, Ariel’s ride, Flying Dumbo and so many more. We truly made so many memories that we will carry with us for a lifetime. The Photo Pass provided by Disney® was such a treasured item.
One of the things that I wanted to mention, that we never expected, was that as we got the airport the morning of our flight to Orlando, we came across another Make-A-Wish family from Iowa. To our surprise, they were going to the exact same place we were and we flew together on each plane. The family’s children were similar ages to our children and they even had a service dog. I can only say this experience enhanced our trip in a way I would have never imagined. Immediately we were all friends and were able to get Villas next to each other at Give Kids the World.
As I write this, I am in tears at the wonderful things your organization does and how you truly impact family and children’s lives. This trip made Isabella’s dream come true, to be honest, I think you even made dreams she thought were impossible come true. She was so excited to meet the princesses and go on rides. Every day would end with her immediately falling asleep holding on to her Mickey doll and the new pillow she created at Give Kids the World. I am forever grateful for all the memory making activities throughout this process and cannot even begin to explain with this trip meant for all us. For the first time we could all relax and just enjoy the smiles and conversations Isabella came up with. I have never seen her happier and we will treasure these memories and pictures.
