Twelve-year-old Cole is a big gamer, so when Make-A-Wish® Iowa arrived at his house, he knew exactly what he wanted: a shopping spree to “trick out” his collection.
Cole was diagnosed with Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy, the condition qualified him to receive his wish from Make-A-Wish.
April 20th, Cole and his family jumped in to a giant Hummer limo and took off for a full day of shopping in the local area, including stops at GameStop, Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
Total Maintenance Inc., or TMI, of Davenport sponsored Cole's wish through the Adopt-A-Wish® program.
“The experience was beyond what I thought it would be,” said Barron Sexson, President of TMI. “It was amazing to actually get involved and be part of the wish experience. It was an honor to share in Cole’s day.”
Cole’s day ended well. Some of his favorite purchases included a 47-inch 3D television, a Kindle Fire, a PlayStation Vita and plenty of games and accessories.
