When Ethan's wish granters arrived at his house, his love of airplanes was obvious.
He showed off more than fifty toy planes and could name them all. Ethan wished to be a Blue Angel.
The Blue Angels’ mission is to enhance Navy and Marine Corps recruiting efforts and to represent the naval service to the United States, its elected leadership and foreign nations.
Ethan’s quest to be a Blue Angel began when he left for Florida with his family. A Blue Angels uniform was handmade for him by Feminine Flair Inc., complete with patches that were contributed by Airware Inc.
On Ethan’s wish day, he reported to the base at 6:30 a.m., had his flight suit and cover issued, then he met the 16 pilots and the rest of the staff. After a tour of the office and the hangar, Ethan got to view the planes. Finally, just before the pilots were ready for take-off for their show, Ethan got to clear the jets for take-off and told the pilots to, “Have a good one!”
Following the show, Ethan was inducted as an Honorary Make-A-Wish Blue Angel at a ceremony with the entire squadron and was presented with autographed pictures.
