Volunteer & Program Services Internship

Program Services Internship - Spring, Summer, Fall

Volunteer & Program Services Interns focus on all the stages of the wish granting process– volunteer wish assignment, wish services to our wish children and their families, and volunteer management. This internship is typically offered each semester (spring, summer and fall).

Basic tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating with doctors and wish-team volunteers
  • Processing new wish referrals
  • Maintaining records from wish evaluations and photos received from wish families / volunteers
  • Soliciting in-kind donations from vendors
  • Assisting with data entry of wish-child, wish family information, and volunteers
  • Entering newly qualified wish children into the online sign-up
  • Helping with projects and events, as needed
  • Composing and distributing mailings to wish children, wish families, and volunteers
  • Supporting the Programs Team in managing online volunteer wish training
  • Other duties as assigned by the Programs Team

Requirements:

  • Excellent Organizational and planning skills
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
